Hockey is the number one sport for Canadians country-wide. This is a country where 25% of Canadians surveyed say that they consider Sidney Crosby to be the greatest athlete of the 21st century*. The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) is the world’s largest development hockey league.

Founded in 1975 as the Canadian Major Junior Hockey League, it is composed of its three member leagues, the Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. For the 2021–22 season, its three leagues and 60 teams represent nine Canadian provinces (52 teams) as well as four American states (8 teams).

CHL TV is a subscription services that provides fans both live and on-demand Hockey games through the CHL, OHL, WHL and QMJHL. This gives the hockey community the ability to watch the action of the next Sidney Crosby as the Canadian Hockey League is the world’s largest development hockey league.

CHL's Challenge

Uplynk provided an integrated streaming solution with the ability to streamline on prem hardware workflows at disparate venues into a full cloud-based solution. This enabled CHL to unify master control across all locations for live & VOD workflows without giving up any control.
